Color Theory welcomes Somna to the show on July 26. The Canadian trance, hard dance, and melodic bass producer is co-owner of AVA Recordings alongside Andy Moor.

Somna’s catalog spans over a decade of releases across some of the genre’s most recognized labels, including Armada, Black Hole, and Ophelia.

Somna’s tracks have been featured regularly on major radio platforms including A State Of Trance, Group Therapy, Corsten’s Countdown and Global DJ Broadcast. He’s also built a reputation as a go-to remixer, with reworks for artists like BT, Paul Oakenfold, Markus Schulz, Andy Moor, Menno de Jong and Lange.

In 2023 he released his second artist album, Satellites, which brought him a guest appearance on Armin van Buuren’s A State Of Trance broadcast and introduced the project to a global audience.

More recently, Somna has pushed into melodic bass, hard dance and other emotionally driven electronic styles, all while keeping the melodic core that’s defined his sound. His newest album, Pathways, reflects that shift and years of creative range. Between that evolution and his role running AVA Recordings, Somna stands as one of Canada’s most versatile and internationally recognized electronic artists.
